Business DSL - A Bad Trip
by T. A. Johnson Sr. - Customer Relations Manager
March 9, 2005

Have you ever noticed that DSL backwards is LSD? If you are using this type of connection to generate income for your Lake San Marcos, California business, you may be in for a BAD TRIP ! As the person in our organization that is responsible for our customers satisfaction, traditional internet service certainly has been a bad trip for me. When our sales staff helps one of our customers obtain this inferior level of service, sooner or later, I get the call to fix-it. I can't blame the sales person for the trouble. The client wanted a CHEAP FIX. Ok, enough tounge in cheek, let me inject some sharper points here.

T1 Service Level Agreements ( SLAs ) are a lifeline for Lake San Marcos businesses that depend on data and/or voice connections for income. Simply put, they are service quality guarantees. The T1 service provider guarantees, in writing, that if you lose your Lake San Marcos, California T1 connection, they lose part of their income. They don't want to lose their income any more than you do, so they make sure you do not lose your connection. Businesses that hold Dedicated Circuit SLAs usually measure outages in minutes, as opposed to cheaper connections that average 32 to 48 HOURS - 2 DAYS! As a "best effort" service, the DSL provider isn't normally under any obligation to restore service quickly, or to renumerate you for any of your business loses - no incentive, no hurry, your loss. Even if your internet provider is offering a Service Level Agreement, those argeements are always inferior to T1 Service Level Agreements. You get what you pay for. Considering that only a relatively small percentage of homes and business are currently using these inferior services, and the number of subscribers is expected to grow exponentially, quality and up-time will probably continue to deteriorate.

Where are your customers going during these outages? Probably to a competitor that has not suffered the downtime. What is the dollar amount, long-term, of your loses? Possibly more than a T1 line would cost. Is it important and profitable for you to maintain your lifeline while your comptetitors are suffering outages? YOU BET ! You can be aquiring new customers while they are down; taking your competitions business, instead of the competition taking your business.

To appreciate the value of a T1 Service Level Agreement, look at the 2004 hurricane season in Florida. Phone and DSL connections went down in many areas for weeks. No service. No business. T1 Internet Line Service was generally restored in about 2 hours. Don't wait for a hurricane, or flood, or earthquake, or tornado, or fire, or mudslides, or the guy who digs up your telephone line, or whatever..... Take care of your business, insure your business lifeline, and protect your income with a vastly superior T1 Service Level Agreement.

Affordable T1 Internet Service for Your Lake San Marcos, California Business

Featured Article by: T. A. Johnson, Sr. - Customer Relations Manager - January 8, 2009

Finding T1 Internet service for your Lake San Marcos, California business can be a challenge. If you do not know that there are usually multiple providers of local T1 Internet Lines, chances are that you would first contact your local phone company (and probably get a horrible deal). When searching for services it is important to know which T1 Line have a POP (Point of Presence) in your Lake San Marcos, California location but for some reason many service providers do not like to make their presence public.

If a T1 Internet line is in your future you can take the guesswork out of your search and contact a T1 Internet Broker. A broker can reach several Lake San Marcos vendors in the time it would take you to find one or two providers that may or may not provide service to your Lake San Marcos, California location. If you are looking for a T1 line for under $300 let your broker know this and he or she will point you only to companies that offer service at your price and location.

We recommend the use of brokers in the search for Lake San Marcos, California T1 Intenet service and we also recommend using a broker to sign up for your service. Often people believe they can get a better price by contacting a broker to get pricing and other information and then go directly to the vendor. This process is a good way to eliminate some of the smartest advantages of using a broker. A T1 Internet broker will not mark up the price of service. They operate on finders fees from the company and therefore obtain the same pricing you will recieve from the provider directly - guaranteed! The advantage of ordering through a broker is that you will get an additional level of customer service and support. If the provider is not performing to your expectations you can always go back to your T1 broker who puts a significant volume through the carrier. Because of the volume of orders your broker provides to the carrier, your broker is generally more likely to get the companies attention and have your problem solved. A T1 Internet broker is the only way to go for your Lake San Marcos, California business!
